Jacob Auto Rent: Terms and Conditions Agreement

General Conditions: Before utilizing Jacob Auto Rent’s car and minibus rental services, it is important for clients to thoroughly read and agree to these terms and conditions. Jacob Auto Rent reserves the right to refuse service without further explanation.

Minimum Age: Drivers must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of one year. Clients are financially responsible for any damages or accidents caused by unauthorized drivers.

Delivery / Pickup: The vehicle is delivered in perfect condition with no visible defects. Any complaints must be made at the time of delivery. Clients must return the vehicle in good condition along with all documents, accessories, and equipment as per the contract.

Usage Conditions: Clients agree to the following conditions:

  • Vehicles must not be used in violation of legal traffic or customs regulations.
  • Vehicles should not be overloaded beyond the capacity stated in the registration certificate.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other substances is prohibited.
  • In case of a defect, the vehicle must be repaired at an authorized service center.
  • Vehicles must not be used for racing, pushing, or towing other vehicles.
  • Clients are financially liable for any misuse of the vehicle.

Payment: Payments are accepted via Visa, Mastercard, or cash. Clients are responsible for the rental fee, returning the vehicle with a full fuel tank, and covering any traffic fines or legal violations. A security deposit of 200-500 euros is required, refundable upon return of the vehicle in good condition.

Insurance: Vehicles come with mandatory RCA insurance and optional CASCO insurance. Clients can opt for SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) to eliminate financial liability in case of an accident.

Accidents, Damages, and Theft: In case of accidents or theft, clients are responsible for protecting the owner’s and insurance company’s interests by obtaining witness information and not abandoning the vehicle. Necessary police reports and repair authorizations should be acquired immediately after the incident.

Validity and Jurisdiction: Any changes to terms and conditions are invalid without written notification and agreement from both parties. Any disputes will be resolved by the Tribunal of Bucharest.

Rental Rates: The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). Long-term rentals of at least one month are available on request.
